The Hotel InterContinental Tokyo Bay opened at Tokyo's waterfront area in 1995.The keynote of its contemporary exterior is white, and guests cannot help but marvel at the indulgently lavish decor and innovative artistic design. Modern elegance, topped with superlative ceilings, dominates inside while eyes are undoubtedly drawn to the picture windows where views of Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge are utterly breathtaking.
When first relocated to head up the Asia Pacific Technical Services for InterContinental Hotels, I rejected the entire Interior Design package for this Hotel. Over the next months, we completely revised the interior design to reflect the Hotel as it currently stands. Our Japanese sister company managed the construction of the project.
